Why Preschool Is The Perfect Solution For Your Child Care Needs

Blog

Being able to spend quality time with your newborn upon their arrival on the planet is a wonderful treat. Each day, you watch as your baby grows and becomes more vibrant with every passing second. It's a memorable time and one that is likely to stick with you for years to come. However, as your child reaches the toddler stage, you may decide it's time for you to head back to work and make a living once again. In order to do this, you'll need to figure out a safe place to take your child during office hours. Instead of going with a traditional daycare center, find out why preschool is the better choice.

Preschool Develops Social-Emotional Skills

If you've been the main influence in your child's life since their birth, there is a strong possibility that they may not have had many opportunities to develop social-emotional skills. As their parent, it's natural for you to defer to their needs because you always want them to feel safe and protected. These are excellent qualities and they can certainly foster an environment that is full of trust and support. Now that you've given them such a firm foundation, they should be ready to achieve new levels of development by heading off to preschool.

While your toddler is in school they will be interacting with other young individuals who are being placed in a similar setting for the first time. This means each little one will need to learn how to share, feel empathy for those around them, and listen without interrupting. These are incredible traits that will not only set them up for success when they enter kindergarten but that they can also continue to use as they grow and mature.

Academics Are Important

Whereas daycare largely focuses on keeping your child safe until you can come to pick them up, preschool is more academic by origin. An emphasis is put on conveying simple educational principles that can make it a lot easier for your toddler to matriculate into primary school. You can do your part to reinforce the learning by going over the lessons when you get home in the evening. This could give your child a big advantage when they attend their first day of kindergarten class!

There are all kinds of preschools out there, each with a mission statement that conveys key goals. Find a few preschools in your area and arrange a couple of tours to see what each has to offer today.

Finding Child Care for Your Toddler

Welcome to my website. My name is Julia Linder. I’m the single mother of two young children ages two and five. I work full-time and have had to have child care for my babies since they were infants. I’m a firm believer in finding child care that provides a stimulating environment for toddlers. Of course, the number one thing I look for is a safe place. Then I observe the child care while children are present. I want to see how staff interacts with the children. Another important factor for me is that my children are well socialized. I’d like to share in more detail about finding the right day care for your toddler. I hope what I share proves to be helpful to you.
